Introducing the Revamped Renault Twingo, Affordable, Efficient, and Electric!
Get ready for the comeback of the Renault Twingo!
This budget-friendly, four-door electric city car is here to make electric vehicles accessible to all. With a starting price of approximately £17,000, it's an affordable option that doesn't compromise on efficiency.
Renault promises that the new Twingo will provide "best-in-class efficiency" and deliver a driving experience like no other.
Positioned below the Renault 5 hatchback and Renault 4 compact SUV, this quirky city car will revolutionize sustainable mobility.
Planned to hit the market by 2026, Renault CEO Luca de Meo describes the Twingo as a "game changer" similar to its predecessor 30 years ago.
It's a modern, state-of-the-art EV built specifically for urban environments.
The new Twingo will have an incredible efficiency rating of up to 6.2 miles per kilowatt-hour.
Over its lifetime, it will emit 75% less CO2 than the average European ICE car sold in 2023. Plus, it will be manufactured in Europe, ensuring top-notch quality and sustainability.
Produced by Ampere, a division within the Renault Group dedicated to electric vehicles, the Twingo will benefit from cutting-edge technology.
While specific technical details are yet to be disclosed, it's expected that the Twingo will share the same platform as the Renault 5 and Renault 4, ensuring superb performance and reliability.
The future looks bright for Ampere, which aims to introduce a total of seven electric vehicles for Renault by 2031.
These will include popular models like the Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech. The company's ultimate goal is to sell one million EVs annually by 2031.
In addition to Renault vehicles, Ampere will work on electric cars for Alpine and Nissan's next Micra. They will also support Dacia on their electrification journey.
Ampere has big plans for the future, including the development of a new electric-car platform that will be even more efficient and modular.
This will allow for flexibility in battery sizes and improved range, making electric cars even more practical.
And that's not all! Ampere is also working on a groundbreaking "software-defined vehicle" (SDV) that will be constantly connected to the cloud.
This means your car will receive over-the-air updates and continuously improve throughout its lifespan. Expect fewer parts, reduced costs, and increased residual values with this revolutionary technology.
"With Ampere, we're making electric and connected cars affordable for all," says Renault CEO Luca de Meo.
Ampere's approach is collaborative and flexible, ensuring they stay ahead in a fast-changing and competitive market.
Get ready for the Renault Twingo and Ampere's exciting future in electric vehicles. Embrace the future of sustainable mobility without compromising on style or affordability!
